    Join the Vermont Chapter’s new Director of Programs & Outreach, Pamela Beidler, for a fun and interactive training on the Alzheimer’s Association’s Common Programs. Through a demo and practice session you will walk away with the skills and materials needed to host evidence informed programming in your local community.

    Just a few of the Common Programs you will be eligible to lead following this workshops:

    • The Basics
    • Know the 10 Signs Effective
    • Communication Strategies(We offer a number of other common programs including the Living with Alzheimer’s series. You are required to complete this initial training before being eligible to lead other workshops.)

    Space is limited to 12 participants.

    This training will present a general overview for new case managers of the issues of elder abuse, exploitation, and self-neglect.  Along with physical and sexual abuse, elder abuse in the form of financial exploitation has dramatically risen in the last few years, with some scams specifically targeted to fleece the elderly. Self-neglect is often hidden but is a complex and growing issue that impacts the elder, the family, and the community.
