SASH Receives 2016 National Award for ‘Excellence in Program Innovation’

SASH received the 2016 Award for Excellence in Program Innovation from the American Public Health Association (APHA) and Archstone Foundation during its 2016 annual meeting in Colorado. The prestigious annual award recognizes best-practice models in the fields of aging and health.

At the time SASH received the award, the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development had initiated a national, three-year demonstration project to implement SASH-like programs in 40 affordable housing communities in seven state.
